The Annalee Hat
Skill Level: Intermediate

A knit slouch hat pattern

This design was originally published in
Yarn Forward Magazine, No. 25, June 2010

This lace slouch hat is perfect for year-round wear. As with all Fiddle Knits patterns, an eye is on the details. Easy lace stitches play alongside simple 2x2 ribbing. An i-cord tie adds extra security of fit.

Choose a cotton or acrylic blend yarn to take the Annalee Hat through the seasons.

The Annalee Hat was designed and named for my younger sister as a birthday gift. After having immediately stolen one of my previous beret designs (Wise Nora) and deemed it to be her “happy hat” and performance hat of choice, it was time for a new addition to her wardrobe.

Annalee is a dreamer and this beret is meant to represent that. It combines whimsical elements for a fun and functional little knit.
