Changing the finished size of your cozy is easily done by adjusting your gauge. The instructions for these designs are written at 6 stitches per inch on smaller needles and 5 stitches per inch on larger needles with DK weight yarn. Choosing a worsted weight and larger gauge of 5 stitches per inch (on smaller needles) will make your cozy larger (9.5” bottom circumference for The 3 Rs and 10” for Leaves Gone to Seed). Thinner yarn and smaller gauge of 7 sts per inch (using smaller needles) will produce a cozy with a narrower bottom circumference (6.75 for The 3 Rs and 7” for Leaves Gone to Seed). Overall length will also change accordingly.
