US size 2/2.75mm 16” circular,
US size 3/3.25mm 16” circular and dpns,
or preferred needles for working in the rnd


Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.


• Gauge
34 sts & 40 rnds = 4” in 1x1 rib on smaller needles.
28 sts & 32 rnds = 4” in fairisle stockinette stitch
on larger needles.

• Size

Adult Womens Average or Mens Small
18” finished bottom circumference.

Will fit head sizes 20-22.5” comfortably.

Thistle and Shamrock is a beanie style hat worked from the bottom-up in the round. Stranded colorwork patterning begins on the second round of the hat and extends through to the last round of crown decreases. Colorwork instructions are presented in chart form only.
