Yarn3 skeins Manos del Uraguay in uranium (414 yds bulky weight)
Needles
US size 10/6mm, or needles size to work comfortably with yarn
Gauge
Itʼs a scarf. Relax.
Finished Size
Approx. 7” wide and 71” long
Pattern Notes
Cable is worked on center 8 stitches. Outer stitches continue to be worked as set up with 4 edge stitches in garter and remaining stitches in a 3x3 rib. I recommend slipping the first stitch of every row to maintain a clean edge.The Pattern

Cast on 34 sts.Set Up 1 (WS): Knit 1 row.
Row 1 (RS): *Sl 1, k3, p3, k3, p3, k8, p3, k3, p3, k4
Row 2 & all WS rows: Sl 1, k6, p3, k3, p8, k3, p3, k7*
*These last two rows repeat with the following cable pattern worked on the center 8 stitches.
CABLE (16 row repeat)
Row 1: Knit 8
Row 2: Purl 8
Row 3: 4-st right cable, 4-st left cable
Row 4: Purl 8
Row 5: Knit 8
Row 6: Purl 8
Row 7: 4-st left cable, 4-st right cable
Row 8: Purl 8
Row 9: Knit 8
Row 10: Purl 8
Row 11: 4-st left cable, 4-st right cable
Row 12: purl 8
Row 13: knit 8
Row 14: purl 8
Row 15: 4-st right cable, 4-st left cable
Row 16: purl 8
Continue with the cable until desired length ending with row 9 of pattern.
Knit 1 row.
Bind off all sts.
