Adjective. Of or relating to the power of memory. Origin mid 18th cent. (as an adjective): via medieval Latin from Greek mnēmonikos, from mnēmōn ‘mindful.’

Mnēmōn is a multidirectional shawl. It begins as a standard bottom up design, but once the border is completed the knitting is turned on its side to complete the center. No sewing involved.
